Serial slingshot shooter arrested after ‘terrorising neighbours for decade’

An 81-year-old resident of Azusa, California, has been taken into custody by authorities, accused of instigating a reign of terror spanning nearly ten years within his community.

Prince King stands accused of using a slingshot to wreak havoc, according to Azusa Police.

The allegations include a string of incidents involving broken windows, shattered car windshields, and narrowly missed pedestrians by ball bearings allegedly launched from his slingshot.

Despite the consistent havoc, there have thankfully been no reports of injuries arising from King’s purported activities.

The breakthrough in the case came following a thorough search of King’s residence, located a mere 25 miles east of Los Angeles.

During the search, law enforcement officials uncovered damning evidence, including ball bearings and a slingshot suspected to have been used in the series of disturbances.

Lieutenant Jake Bushey, representing the Azusa Police, revealed that detectives traced the origin of most projectiles to King’s backyard. “We’re not aware of any kind of motive other than just malicious mischief,” Bushey said.

The arrest marks a significant milestone for the community, which has grappled with the mystery of the slingshot assailant for nearly a decade.

“It’s been ongoing for many years because we just didn’t identify who the suspect was,” Lieutenant Bushey said.

Prince King is slated to make a court appearance on Tuesday, where he will face charges related to the alleged spree of slingshot mischief that plagued his neighbourhood for nearly a decade.
