THRILL-SEEKERS in the UK have started to get excited about the prospect of a brand new rollercoaster at one of the country’s most popular theme parks.
Footage of the new ride has been teased online ahead of its projected opening later on this year.

The new coaster is yet to have a name, but it will be part of Frontier Falls, a new wild west themed land that recently opened at Drayton Manor Park.
A new video released via the park’s social media channels showed a brief glimpse of what people can expect from the ride.
A link to the video on the Drayton Manor Instagram page urges visitors to “be ready to strike gold”.
The rollercoaster has a pick-axe and a shovel on the front of it and in the footage is seen looping around a gold coloured track.
Despite only being given a cursory glance at the ride, rollercoaster fans left comments about how excited they were to see it get closer to an opening date.
One even said it looked “sexy” while others began to plan a trip to Drayton Manor.
One commented: “This looks amazing, think a trip to Drayton manor is in order soon.”
Another wrote: “This is looking really good.”
A third added: “So excited for this. What a sexy looking train.”
There is no exact opening date available yet for the new coaster, but fans predict that one will soon be announced, given there is now footage of it up and running on its tracks.
Theme park fan site Attraction Source said: “Drayton Manor have shared the first official look at the trains for their new Intamin Lift & Launch coaster.
“With footage of the ride testing, could we soon see an opening date?”
The new wild west land where the new rollercoaster will be found opened in March this year.
Managing director Victoria Lynn said that she wants it to be seen as one of the best rides in the country.

She told the Birmingham Mail last year: “One of the key things we want to say is that in 2024 there will be a new family thrill coaster coming.
“This is going to be one of the best coasters in the UK in my opinion. I think it is important to say we are still doing family thrill and not just kid rides.”
It’s the only new arrival at Drayton Manor this year either, with The Wave arriving just over a month ago.
It has replaced the park’s popular ride Shockwave, with its new track consisting of four inversions, a unique zero-gravity roll, and a double corkscrew structure.
