SKY SPORTS NEWS has been hit by a “global technical issue” that made them unable to broadcast live.
The broadcaster took to X to confirm they had been hit by the global Microsoft outage that has been causing chaos around the world.
The company wrote: “Due to a global technical issue, Sky Sports News is currently unable to broadcast live.
“For all the latest sports news, scores and action, go to the Sky Sports app or website.”
The channel continued to broadcast, but was forced to show pre-recorded content rather than anything live.
Sky are being affected by a global Microsoft outage, which has caused carnage across the world.
Flights at many major airports have had to stay grounded with jets also being forced to stay airborne.
American Airlines, Delta and United have all confirmed their flights are not taking off currently in the US.
The London Stock Exchange is also affected, with many people also claiming they are unable to access their online banking apps.
Sky News‘ channel also went down.

The broadcaster simply showed a shot of their logo with the accompanying text reading: “We apologise for the interruption to this broadcast. We hope to restore the transmission of this broadcast shortly.”
Not all of Sky Sports’ channels have been affected however.
The company confirmed that viewers are still able to watch all the golf action from The Open on their Sky Sports Golf channel.
England‘s second Test against the West Indies continues on the company’s cricket channel.
Practice for the Hungarian Grand Prix will also be available on the company’s F1 channel at 10am.
