A TUI flight attendant has shared her insider knowledge online. Mrs Miva has garnered more than 41,300 followers on TikTok by sharing snippets of “cabin crew life”.

And for her latest video, the frequent flyer revealed the “three things you should never do on a plane”. Her tips cover what not to wear, plus what you should and shouldn’t drink while you’re in the air.

In a viral clip, she said you shouldn’t “wear shorts or a skirt”. Even though these garments can be comfier than wearing stiff jeans or trousers, they’re not the most practical.

Mrs Miva, who is from Germany, explained: “You never know how clean it is where you’re going to sit. Also it can get very cold.”

Next, the flight attendant recommended to keep an eye on how much you’re drinking. While celebratory bevs at the airport or on the plane can be a fun way to kick start your holiday, you must make sure you’re still in control.

Mrs Miva said: “[You should never] get drunk on a plane. Passengers who are (too) drunk can be ejected from the crew for safety reasons.”

Finally, the TikToker said you should never go on board without a water bottle. She said “not drinking enough water” is a huge mistake many make, which can make them feel rubbish after they land.

She revealed: “The dry air and low humidity on the plane can lead to increased fluid loss and dehydration.” So to avoid ruining the first few days of your holiday, make sure to keep hydrated while on board!

Mrs Miva’s helpful video has garnered more than 19,400 likes – and many appreciated her words of wisdom. One wrote: “This’ll actually help because I want to be an air hostess.”

Many could relate to her tips too, with a responder remarking: “I wore short shorts once and I got so cold.” Another agreed: “Yes it’s so cold for me on the airplane!” And a third added: “Darn it. Skirt goes in suitcase, overalls it is!”

Meanwhile, others seconded the tip on cutting down on alcohol and sticking to water instead. A commenter recalled: “Got dehydrated on the way to Rome. Attendant said it’s common.”
