JET2 is launching three new international routes taking off from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The Merseyside airport will start running flights to tourist hotspots Malaga, Reus and Malta.
Operated by Jet2, the flights will start running from John Lennon Airport in the summer of 2025.
This brings Jet2’s offering to a staggering 23, with destinations dotted all over Europe.
The Liverpool airport will expect around 730,000 passengers through its doors next summer, and will have more planes on hand.
The budget airline has only been running flights in the city since 2024.
Around 200 jobs were created while flights are currently operating to 20 destinations.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport has 54 weekly flights and runs six exclusive routes.
If you are seeking winter sun or a city break, then Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has you covered with 11 destinations on sale for Winter 24/25 and 25/26, including the Canary Islands, Spain, Majorca, Portugal, Turkey and Cyprus.
James Pieslak, from Jet2’s press office said: “We expected a great response based on the demand we knew was out there.
“That said, the actual reaction surpassed all our expectations.
“If you look at our track record, we go from strength to strength when we launch a new UK airport base and that’s very much the case at Liverpool already.”
He assured that holidaymakers would have Jet2’s friendly Red Team on hand for assistance throughout their journey, no different to in its other airport bases.
James continued: “From the moment travellers step into the terminal and are greeted by a smiling customer helper, they know they are in the best hands when they travel with Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.
“People work and save hard for their holidays and every single colleague at Jet2 knows that.
“That is why we put so much hard work and investment into delivering the type of customer service that wins award after award.”
While Brits wait for Jet2’s additions, they can fly to destinations in mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, and Portugal.
Tourists can also fly with the low-cost carrier to hotspots in Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Bulgaria.
