Holiday packing can be a real headache, particularly when you’re trying to cram everything into your hand luggage without falling foul of airline restrictions.
But a savvy travel guru has revealed a brilliant trick to sneak an extra bag on board for about £1.55. She says nifty tip has saved her a fortune. The travel fan, who goes by ‘Ms Garn Again’, is no stranger to flying, having ticked off 54 countries and 74 cities and amassing over 84 million views on TikTok for her insider travel advice, in the process.
Sharing her latest luggage loophole, she claims it’s the perfect solution to sidestep those budget airline fees if you’re only bringing a cabin bag. Heading to the airport, Ms Garn Again said wisdom: “Do not pay extra baggage fees. You can get additional luggage for £1.55.”
She added: ” If you’re like me and have opted for a bargain flight where only your personal item is included, then this hack is a must-know. I’ve purposely picked a bag that’s too big and I’m well aware, so I’ll be pulling my special baggage move.
“So you go through Duty Free but you’re not going to exit just yet.”
She said you need to grab a bottle of water for about £1.45 at Duty Free as well as a 10p carrier bag which you can then use to store items. Ms Garn Again has successfully used this method at multiple UK airports, including London Stansted, London Luton, and Gatwick.
Popular airline Ryanair states: “Your duty-free bag is permitted in the cabin along with your cabin bags.” Meanwhile a London Stanstead Airport representative added: “All airlines flying from London Stansted Airport allow you to take one bag of airport shopping on board along with your hand luggage.”
After sharing her hack, hundreds of people comments on Ms Garn Again’s video. One individual said the trick works, and added: “Been doing this for years! Also when going through security I have two bags of toiletries and just put them in different trays! Security don’t know who’s tray is who’s because so many! “.
Another commented: “Been doing this for years. Always works.” One added: “One small carrier isn’t going to make much difference.” One other added: “This is such a great trick! Saved it for my next flight.”
