But while the originals retail at around £24, Aldi’s dupes are a whopping £21.01 less.

A keen shopper spied the item in their local store and was thrilled at the price.

Posting the find to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK  Facebook group, they said: “Aldi dupes of the Sol di Janerio sprays £2.99 each! Ipswich Aldi.”

They shared a photo of their newly purchased fragrances.

Fellow bargain hunters were quick to comment on the post and make plans to head to their nearest Aldi to bag them.

One wrote: “I’ll keep a look out!”

Another said: “I need to go to Aldi.”

While a third described them as “perfect for holidays”.

And a fourth added: “The pistachio and caramel one is so nice.”

Aldi’s Tropical Essence comes in three varieties: Cuban Dreams (Jasmine & Dragon Fruit), Havana Nights (Pistachio & Salted Caramel), or Tropical Glow (Amber Plum & Vanilla).

It’s always best to phone ahead to your local shop to check what they have available to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest Aldi store using the locator tool on the website.

It always pays to compare prices so you know you’re getting the best deal.

B&M shoppers have also been racing to get their hands on a 250ml Sol de Janeiro body cream dupe scanning at tills for just £3.99.

A Facebook user spread the word about the luxurious lotion saying it smells the “exact same” as the more pricey version.

The dupe is just a fraction of the price of Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream which is a steep £48 for a 240ml container.

The high-end cream is described as ” a sumptuous body cream scented with notes of pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla.”

Prices can also vary day to day and by what deals are on at the time, plus remember you might pay for delivery if you’re ordering online.

You can compare prices on platforms like Google Shopping.

How to bag a bargain

SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…

Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.

Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.

Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.

Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.

Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.

Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
