Chelsea host Crystal Palace today, but UK fans won’t be able to watch it live on TV. The game has been rescheduled to 1:30pm due to Chelsea‘s involvement in the UEFA Conference League play-offs, which took place on Thursday evening.

This change was made to give the Chelsea team enough recovery time between matches. Despite a 2-1 loss in the second leg, Chelsea secured their place in the Conference League group stages with a 3-2 aggregate win over Servette.

Newcastle United’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur at St James’ Park is one of two games being televised on Sky Sports today, kicking off simultaneously with the match at Stamford Bridge. This fixture had already been selected for the 1:30pm slot on both Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event, with Manchester United’s high-profile match against Liverpool also being broadcast live at 4pm today.

Due to police agreements, both games have also been moved back by half an hour, from the usual 2pm and 4.30pm Sunday slots.

Sky Sports has rights to broadcast 128 Premier League matches this season under their current agreement, but the early Sunday slot was given to the Newcastle vs Spurs game. While the Chelsea match won’t be shown in the UK, fans can still catch live audio commentary on the Chelsea website.

Sky Sports and the Premier League have struck a new agreement that will see Sky broadcast at least 215 Premier League matches per season, starting in 2025.

Meanwhile, Enzo Maresca‘s Blues put on an impressive display in the Premier League last weekend, dismantling Wolves’ defence with Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer finding the back of the net in the first half to keep them level with the West Midlands club.

A second-half hat-trick from Noni Madueke and a debut goal for new signing Joao Felix showcased the remarkable depth Maresca has at his disposal.

This stunning result marked a significant improvement from their opening day defeat to Pep Guardiola‘s Manchester City, who who won their first game of the season 2-0, courtesy of goals from Erling Haaland and ex-Blue Mateo Kovacic.

On the other hand, Crystal Palace are eager to secure their first win of the season after suffering defeats in their first two games, with a 2-1 loss to Brentford and a 2-0 defeat at home to West Ham.
