Trains heading in and out of London and towards Gatwick Airport are disrupted this morning due to a trespasser on the line.
The trespasser has been reported in East Croydon, which means all trains running through the area have to travel at a reduced speed until they’re found and taken to safety.
This is affecting Southern, Thameslink and Gatwick Express services.
All three rail providers are investigating the trespass incident.
National Rail expects the disruption to last until at least 8am, which will no doubt impact both commuters and anyone hoping to catch the train to Gatwick Airport this morning.
They’re warning that trains travelling through East Croydon could be delayed, and asking passengers to allow extra time for their journey.
Delays on London Tramlink
There are currently delays between Wellesley Road and Sandilands on the Tram network this morning, due to a broken down bus at Lebanon Road.
The line had been part suspended while the bus was moved out of the way, but it has since reopened.
There is currently good service on all other Tramlink routes, TfL says.
