London’s Elizabeth Line has been hit with fresh delays after it was suspended between Heathrow Terminals during rush hour last night.

National Rail has warned that trains to and from London Bridge are suffering delays of roughly 15 minutes, with Southern and Thameslink services upended by ‘multiple incidents’.

Meanwhile, there are minor delays on the Victoria Line due to train cancellations this morning.

Transport for London (TfL) had also warned that the Waterloo & City line and Bakerloo lines were suffering disruption, but thankfully things have eased in the last couple of hours.

It’s a day with day at the at the end so the M25 is congested

Congestion is being reported by Motorway Cameras, a website that, well, keeps an eye on motorway cameras.

Logjams were spotted on the J22 clockwise exit and clockwise between J22 (St. Albans) and J23 (A1(M)J1/Barnet). Things are expected to let up from about 10am.

London Euston also seeing delays

A number of London Euston lines operated by London Northwestern are seeing delays.

Both Crewe via The Trent Valley and the West Midlands via Northampton are experiencing delays due to a faulty train at Milton Keynes Central.

The delays should last until 10.30am, the operator says.

London Bridge disruption to last even longer

The delays to Southern and Thameslink services on some routes are now expected to last until 10am, rather than 9am, Network Rail now says.

‘As a result, trains running between London Bridge and Sydenham, and between Balham and London Victoria, may be delayed by up to 15 minutes,’ the government-backed owner of Britain’s train tracks said.

Delays to Southern and Thameslink services

Network Rail is reporting that there will be ‘some delays’ to Southern and Thameslink services until about 9am.

The alert says ‘multiple incidents’ on the two lines including a points failure at New Cross Gate and a safety inspection on the tracks at Balham are behind the disruption,

Routes impacted include: ‘Southern between London Bridge and London Victoria / Epson / Caterham / Uckfield, between East Croydon and Watford Junction, and also between Horsham / Sutton / West Croydon / Epsom Downs / Dorking / Selhurst and London Victoria.

‘Thameslink between Bedford / Cambridge and Brighton, between Bedford and East Grinstead / Three Bridges / Haywards Heath, between Flitwick / London Bridge and Three Bridges, and also between Peterborough and Horsham.’

Good service on London Tube lines bar one

In a rare bit of a good travel news, it seems things are settling down on TfL network.

There’s good service on all lines other than the Victoria line, which is experiencing minor delays between Seven Sisters and Walthamstow Central due to a fault train over in Victoria.

Elizabeth Line hit with fresh delays

There are further disruptions to Elizabeth Line services during rush hour this morning.

National Rail has warned that trains to and from London Paddington may be hit with delays.

The disruption is expected to last until a least 8am.
