COLDER, weather is on the way which often means the return of the dreaded damp to homes.
Luckily, Amazon is running a deal on budget dehumidifier that sees the price drop from £49.99 to £39.99.

The Conopu 1000ml Dehumidifier costs just under £40, and is capable of covering 20m² of room space.
Because it’s a small model – measuring 25.6 x 15 x 15cm – it won’t take up a lot of space in your home.
And its rounded shape, together with the different coloured lights, mean the appliance won’t look out of place in the living room.

What’s more, the sound level of 39dB is relatively quiet so you should be able to have the dehumidifier running during the night in your bedroom without it keeping you awake.
Practically speaking, it can remove up to 450ml water per day and has a tank capacity of one litre, switching off when full.
There’s also a removable filter on the back to trap dust from the air.
Although the light is cosmetic, it’s a nice touch and you choose whether to have one colour showing constantly or to scroll through the seven options for a soothing rainbow.
For a budget option, it ticks the box for many Amazon shoppers – the dehumidifier has a score of 4.1 out of 5 from more than 7,000 ratings.
“This little condenser … did a great job drying out the wall,” wrote on reviewer.
“We now use it in the bedroom and it collects a lot of moisture from the air. We like the little light feature and it is not too imposing on the décor.”

While its size means the Conopu isn’t going to solve your wet washing problems – if you want a dehumidifier to do that you will need a bigger model – it will help reduce moisture in the air, so will have a positive effect.
