The expert travel team at Wizz Air have rounded up some of the best budget holiday destinations for Britons looking to get away in October and November.

Sun-seeking Britons should look no further than the stunning destination of Dalaman in Turkey an ideal choice for those missing warm weather.

Nestled along Turkey’s southwestern coast, the region is steeped in Lycian history and serves travellers seeking a mix of relaxation, adventure, and cultural exploration.

A Wizz Air spokesperson enthused: “Famous for its clean beaches, rich cuisine and endless sunshine, Dalaman is located on the southwestern coast of Turkey.

“During the months of October and November, temperatures can reach 31C. Whether you’re in the mood to explore and sightsee, or laze by the Blue Lagoon, Dalaman has something for everyone”, said the travel guru.

As for what to do in Dalaman, visitors can enjoy the company of turtles on Iztuzu Beach, venture through the Sakilkent Gorge canyon, or dive into the vibrant nightlife and bars if they fancy a lively evening.

Dalaman, situated in the Mugla Province, boasts pristine waters along Turkey’s coastline and five standout beaches. Sarsala Koyu is a horseshoe-shaped bay that’s renowned for its tranquil atmosphere and surrounding mountain landscape.

Ideal for paddle-boarding, swimming, sailing and jet ski excursions, the beach is the highest-rated in the area according to TripAdvisor. Visitors have praised its “lovely beach” and “beautiful scenery”, which are best enjoyed in autumn when the hoards of summer crowds have gone.

Nearby, Ölüdeniz Beach is home to the famed Blue Lagoon while Iztuzu Beach is a nesting site for loggerhead turtles.

History buffs should be sure to visit the Lycian rock tombs along the Dalyan River and journey to Kaunos Ancient City – a place to discover ancient ruins and an amphitheatre.

Holidaymakers from the UK will find Dalaman’s prices quite appealing, with dining out averaging between £10-15 per meal.

Even coffee and alcoholic beverages are more wallet-friendly compared to back home, with a cappuccino costing about £1.

Tempted by Dalaman’s charms? Britons can snag direct return flights from London starting at just £76 in October.

Those willing to wait until November to visit this charming destination will find even cheaper prices. Return flights start at £65 from London and the weather won’t disappoint either.

November, like October, sees consistently high average temperatures of 25 and lows of 16. It’s a great temperature for relaxing on the beach or by the pool. However, this can soar to around 30C on some days.

Tourists should bring some warmer clothes for the evenings as it cools to 12C at night. The sea temperature is 24C, while humidity is low.
