Cumbrian brothers win Jock Taylor Memorial Trophy at Knockhill Circuit

The sidecar racing, which sees two racers operate a Formula One Sidecar that sports a purpose-built chassis and motorcycle engine, saw Sam and Jack Laidlow from Appleby win the prestigious trophy.

The event took place on Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22 at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Dunfermline which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

At the event, Sam and Jack scooped the memorial trophy and also won the Steve Websiter Trophy for the fastest lap around the Scottish circuit.

After their successful weekend, the pair were buzzing with their trophy wins and being able to share the track with sidecar legends.

They said: “What a weekend. We’ve been anticipating this meeting for a long time and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Big thanks to the whole team this weekend.

The weekend follows a successful British Sidecar Championship debut and comes as the pair are preparing to travel to Oschersleben for the FIM Sidecar World Championship.
