UK International Taekwon Do Federation joins WSA as Full Member 

The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) is delighted to welcome the UK International Taekwon Do Federation (ITF) to the membership base as a Full Member. 

The UK ITF is a leading Taekwon-Do group within the UK, constantly working to ensure that their members receive the best possible tuition from instructors and remain dedicated to continual growth and support through learning and training together in the art of Taekwon Do.

Originating in Korea, Taekwon Do is a global sport and a version of unarmed combat designed for the purpose of self-defence.  

More than just that, however, it is the scientific use of the body in the method of self-defence; a body that has gained the ultimate use of its facilities through intensive physical and mental training. 

As a Full Member of the WSA, the UK ITF will have access to our extensive network of National Governing Bodies of sport and other sporting organisations and entities from across the country.  

The WSA was thrilled to support in the build-up to the European Championships recently hosted by UK ITF at the Sport Wales National Centre, and event that showcased incredible talent from the exciting sport. 

Commenting on his organisation’s arrival to the membership base, UK ITF Vice President Trevor Nicholls stated: 

“UK ITF are excited to be accepted as Full Members of WSA. 

“Our member clubs in Wales will benefit significantly from the support, education and collaboration opportunities available as members of WSA. 

“Our experience of hosting a European Championships at Sophia Gardens with the support of the WSA in the lead-up and tremendous assistance of the Sport Wales team throughout the event was outstanding.”
