Moment British Airways flight comes close to Iranian rockets targeting Israel

Must read

Video footage, believed to have been taken by a British Airways pilot, shows Iran’s ballistic missiles being launched towards Israel.

The terrifying pictures show the orange glow of each rocket being fired into the black night sky, as the aircraft flies past. It is unclear how close the passenger jet was to the missiles.

Iran fired on Israel on October 1 – days before the year anniversary of the October 7 attacks – after the Jewish State successfully took out the leader of the Lebanese terrorist organisation Hezbollah.

After the killing of Hassan Nasrallah and around 20 of Hezbollah’s other top brass by Israeli forces, Iran vowed to strike back.

Hezbollah, like Hamas in Gaza and the Houthi Rebels in Yemen, are used by Iran as proxy states against Israel.

Flight Tracker radar showed that aircraft were leaving a large corridor over Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Israel, prior to the strike from the Islamic Republic.

Such was the concern and carnage caused by the missile launches, that flights even turned round and headed back to the airports they flew from.

For example, the Air France AF218 from Paris to Mumbai, turned around and headed back to the French capital after spending four hours in the air and being delayed four hours on the tarmac.

The journey to the Indian metropolis should have taken nine hours, eight hours after getting on the aircraft, passengers were back where they started.

A spokesperson for British Airways said: “Safety and security are always our highest priorities and we continuously assess and adjust our operations accordingly.”
