Coperni’s Disneyland Paris runway show healed my inner child

Must read

If you had major FOMO scrolling TikTok watching influencers and fashion-goers on Space Mountain… same. And if you were wondering when every single person you follow on Instagram became a Disney adult, let me explain. On Tuesday 1 October, Coperni debuted its Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Disneyland Paris to close out Paris Fashion Week, complete with Sleeping Beauty’s Castle and fireworks. Coperni became the first designer to ever show at Disneyland Paris, and there were plenty of Disney easter eggs throughout the night.

The collection itself had the makings of a true Disney classic. There were romantic ruffles, flower appliqués, dramatic shapes, some sparkles and opera-length gloves; something most Disney princesses don’t leave home without.

The show was cut into three different sections, each one diving a little deeper into Disney lore. The first act was a celebration of youth and nostalgia, including vintage Disney T-shirts and prints of our favourite characters. Act two represented villains with a monochromatic and structural look and hints of classic villain elements.

Act three portrayed “The Princess Transformation” with voluminous looks and modern princess themes. Closing the show was none other than American royalty Kylie Jenner in a larger-than-life black ballgown, sweeping the runway as she strolled underneath the iconic castle for a seriously iconic celebrity runway cameo.

Kylie Jenner

And can we talk about the shoes?! Coperni had teased the cartoon-like Mickey Mouse shoes days leading up to the show, and they were a highlight for sure. They were a not-so-subtle nod to the happiest place on earth.

Now, while the shoes were my favourite, I have to say I wasn’t as into the taffeta bell bottoms (shown above).

And, by the way, if you couldn’t tell from the Kylie Jenner of it all, the runway was as star-studded as the front row. Amelia Gray, Lila Moss, Paloma Elsesser and Irina Shayk all walked for the trendy label. Front row attendees included Alix Earle, former Disney Channel star Cole Sprouse and Pauline Chalamet – as in, Kylie’s BF TimothĂ©e Chalamet‘s sister.

Guests partied at Disneyland until after the clock struck midnight, dancing, interacting with Disney characters and riding rollercoasters. This is definitely what Disney (and fashion) dreams are made of!
