Pretty veils for the hopeful romantic

According to the runways, the veil continues to play an important role in completing a bride’s look on her special day.

Choosing the right style and length depends on the dress, so consider what complements your look best.

Long, cathedral veils add drama and elegance, beautifully complementing the grandeur of a ball gown.

For a less formal event, a chapel-length veil pairs nicely with a sweet A-line dress, adding a romantic touch without overwhelming the silhouette.

A chapel-length veil also plays well with a sheath dress, while a shorter veil that sits on the shoulders can accentuate the neckline of an off-the-shoulder gown and frame the face beautifully.

Alexandra Grecco paired a simple dress with a single-layer, lace-edged veil that flowed past the dress to create stunning visual balance, adding movement and enhancing the overall feminine vibe.

Small (but mighty!) mini dresses for the modern girlie

Dresses that fall above the knee offer a fresh, stylish option for brides seeking unique and modern alternatives to traditional wedding gowns.

Over the years, mini dresses served as a great second dress reception option or after party look – until now!

Colombian bridal and womenswear designer Francesca Miranda has raised the bar on short dresses bringing her signature artistry and ethereal elegance to her Fall/Winter 2025 Couture Collection.

Inspired by the serene and divine beauty of nature, her strapless, above-the-knee dresses are masterpieces adorned with hand-embroidered flower appliques and Italian hand-painted organza.

‘The Elysian collection, our Fall/Winter 2025 couture line, is a celebration of nature’s beauty, where each gown becomes a work of art,’ said Francesca.

‘We wanted to evoke the dreamlike serenity of a fantasy garden, and every detail—from the delicate flower appliques to the hand-painted organza—was crafted with that vision in mind.

‘These gowns are designed to make every bride feel as though she’s stepping into a realm of elegance and magic, a true reflection of her individuality and grace.’

Inspired by the real brides that mother-daughter duo Jaclyn Whyte and Francesca Guzzo-Whyte work with in their Toronto atelier, Jaclyn Whyte’s fall 2025 assortment also included mini dresses.

Sculptural gowns for the statement-maker

Dresses with an architectural aesthetic allow brides to express their individuality and break away from traditional styles.

Several labels this season offered dresses featuring bold lines and geometric shapes.

Structural elements can be combined with various fabrics and details (like satin pleating and lace paneling), offering brides the opportunity to customize their look while still maintaining a modern edge.
