Keltbray Infrastructure Services acquires rail business

Must read

Linbrooke is a specialist technology and connectivity integrator for key UK rail network operators.

Its rail business is understood to be “an approved Network Rail tier-one Principal Contractor”, delivering end-to-end ‘design and build’ signalling, telecommunications and associated power solutions across UK rail infrastructure since 2003.

Keltbray said the deal will enhance its existing specialisms in rail electrification and civil engineering, including signalling, telemetry and telecom design and installation capabilities.

Keltbray completed the sale of its Infrastructure Services Limited (KISL) business to private equity firm EMK Capital in August this year.

The group diversified into infrastructure services in 2009 with the acquisition of Gamble Rail, followed by Aspire Rail in 2010.

Keltbray said the divestiture will allow it to focus on built environment and major civil engineering markets more sharply.

“We have acquired Linbrooke Services’ rail business, a specialist technology and connectivity integrator for key UK rail network operators,” Keltbray Infrastructure Services announced on social media.

Adding: “This acquisition will expand our digital capability to a new level, building on our existing specialisms in rail electrification and general rail-orientated civil engineering, with signalling, telemetry and telecom design and installation capabilities.”
