Bomb threat made against UK-bound flights – ‘No one will make it out alive’

Must read

An airline has been issued with a ‘bomb threat’ online to multiple aircraft with the poster claiming “no one will make it out alive”.

The threatening message was posted in response to a comment from a Delta Airlines customer services agent who was responding to a post about the airline.

The message on X from @adamlanza111 simply reads: “Hi. There are bombs placed onboard of 5 your planes. No one will make it out alive.

“Hurry up and evacuate the plane.”

The flights mentioned by the post include flight DL20 en-route from Seattle to London Heathrow, and flight DL3 from Los Angeles to London Heathrow, DL8 from Los Angeles to Tokyo, DL27 from Atlanta to Seoul and DL32 from Atlanta to London Heathrow.

A Delta Airlines spokesperson said: “We are aware of the reported issue and as safety is our top priority, we are cooperating with law enforcement on their efforts.”

The latest threat made on X comes after earlier this month RAF fighter jets were scrambled to intercept an Air India passenger plane after the Boeing 777-300 reported a ‘bomb on board’.

The plane, an Air India flight from Mumbai to London, circled above Norfolk en route to Heathrow before the Typhoon intercepters met the plane.

After being held over east London due to air-traffic control congestion, it landed around an hour and a half late.

The RAF confirmed the Typhoon jets had been stood down, and the flight was “released to continue to its original destination under the direction of civilian air traffic control”.

A Royal Air Force spokesperson told The Standard: “We can confirm that RAF Quick Reaction Alert Typhoon fighter aircraft from RAF Coningsby were launched this afternoon to investigate a civilian aircraft.
