Football fans rip into Aaron Ramsey’s ‘boring’ cameo on Sky Sports after former Arsenal star made his presenting debut during Nottingham Forest’s win over Crystal Palace

Fans online have labelled Aaron Ramsey as ‘boring’ after the Cardiff City star made his punditry debut on Saturday night.

The former Arsenal star took centre stage for Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football programme which showcased the evening match between Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest

It was a change in contrast for Ramsey, who has been starring in the Championship for Cardiff having secured a move to his boyhood club back in 2023.

Prior to the match – which saw Forest triumph 1-0 – Ramsey was on hand to provide some analysis but it didn’t get down well among supporters online.

‘I’d rather watch paint dry than listen to Aaron Ramsey. What a boring human,’ one fan brutally wrote.

‘I’d rather watch paint dry than listen to Aaron Ramsey,’ another user on X said.

One fan said: ‘Aaron Ramsey may be the dullest human I’ve ever listened to’.

In an ironic comment, another user said: ‘Can someone calm Aaron Ramsey down, please’.

‘Don’t think punditry is his thing,’ one user said as they brutally put down his debut with the broadcaster giants.

In a similar theme to previous comments, another user said: ‘Watching the pre game stuff for MNF Aaron Ramsey is like watching paint dry’.

Meanwhile, one user pointed to Jamie Carragher’s involvement in Ramsey’s debut as they wrote: ‘Jamie Carragher keeps looking at Aaron Ramsey like, come on son, say something’.

Elsewhere on the show, Carragher took the opportunity to analyse one of Ramsey’s former teams – Arsenal – and their red card woes this year.

The Gunners slipped to their first defeat of the season after a 2-0 loss against Bournemouth on Saturday – which was made worse after William Saliba was sent off in the first-half.

Sky Sports pundit Carragher insisted that Arsenal ‘can do more’ despite losing a player and insisted ‘great teams have still won 10 men’.

Speaking on Monday night, Carragher said: ‘They should be doing more in those games. They have gone really defensive.

‘I get the Man City game, but can they do more with 10 men? You can still win! But they have dropped points every game.

‘Great teams who have won league titles have still won with 10 men’.
