A spot that seems to have been lost in time and is well worth your next British adventure is Cromer which offers the quintessential British seaside getaway.

Found within arm’s reach of the bustling town of Norfolk, you will find Cromer which offers picturesque landscapes, stunning coastlines with an idyllic vibe throughout.

The seaside town even caught the attention of British writer and physician, Arthur Conan Doyle, with Cromer rumoured to have been an inspiration for some of his most notorious detective novels.

The true jewel in Cromer’s crown is found at its bustling Victorian 151 metre-long pier offering splendid views of the North Norfolk coastline and the North Sea and is a popular hot spot for a number of reasons.

Cromer Pier, often dubbed the gem of the Norfolk coast, hosts a world-class end-of-pier show that’s a delight for all and has even been featured in a number of films including In Love with Alma Cogan and Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa.

So popular is this awe-inspiring pier it was even awarded the distinguished prize of being the 2024 “Pier of the Year” award from the National Piers Society.

Piers aside, Cromer is a seaside gem with a great community spirit at its core.

The region was put on the map and made famous after Banksy’s Great British Spraycation artwork was featured.

The elusive artist left his graffiti mark in Cromer In early August 2021 but that is not Cromer’s only claim to fame.

As for things to do in Cromer, a visit to the family-friendly Amazona Zoo will delight all with other notable spots including Cromer Museum, RNLI Cromer Lifeboat Station, Sheringham Park and Felbrigg Hall.

And for the foodies, Cromer crabs are a must offering a unique sweetness that can be enjoyed overlooking the lush Norfolk sites that will leave you wanting more and more.
