The Cotswolds are a famous and much loved part of the UK with international travellers often heading to the area to see quintessential English scenery.

One particular spot is Bibury, a small village in Gloucestershire that has caught the attention of Brits and tourists alike.

Home to a famous row of houses, Arlington Row, Bibury is a postcard perfect place to visit.

It is home to just 700 people and artist William Morris previously hailed it as “the most beautiful village in England”.

The picturesque cottages were built in 1380 as a monastic wool store which was then converted into a row of weavers’ cottages in the 17th century.

Today, the cottages are let to private tenants, with one of the cottages available as a holiday let.

One visitor on Tripadvisor said: “This town is so adorable and definitely worth visiting. It was so picturesque and beautiful and Arlington Row was the highlight of the trip.

“There is no need to spend a ton of time here but if you’d like to see the Cotswolds properly this is the best place to go. The whole place was very charming and it is free to visit.”

If you are planning to visit the Cotswolds, you should pick a number of spots and drive through the countryside to see these unique villages and towns.

Bibury is not far from Cirencester, often dubbed the “capital of the Cotswolds”.

Cirencester should definitely be visited if you’re nearby – known for its stunning architecture and range of independent shops, there is plenty to see and do in the town.

One place to visit in nice weather is Cirencester Park, which is a popular place among visitors.

One person said on Tripadvisor: “Cirencester Park has a new eating venue called Roots and Seeds which is located in the old kennels.

“The buildings blend in with the Cotswold stone surroundings, there are several small businesses including Cotswold Ales – you can sit in the courtyard and try their beers.

“I would definitely recommend you visit it and enjoy walking In the wonderful Cirencester Park.”

Cirencester is just two hours away from London and can be reached easily by train or car.
