It’s safe to say the latest season of Married at First Sight UK has been all the Cosmopolitan UK office has talked about for the past two months. Yep, it’s a collective obsession. But just because the series has now drawn to a close, with the final episode airing last night [Thursday 14 November], doesn’t mean we’re done discussing every little detail of the show. Even the things that weren’t shown on screen.
First up, the fact groom Ross McCarthy wasted no time in debuting his new relationship on Instagram, confirming what fans had long suspected – that he and Sacha Jones were no longer together after filming wrapped. Sacha seemed to echo his feelings of wanting to move on from the relationship as eagle-eyed shoppers spotted the 29-year-old had listed the dress she wore for the couple’s final vows on Vinted.
The listing features two photos of Sacha wearing the stunning naked dress while on the Channel 4 show. The design consists of a nude bodysuit under sheer nude tulle embroidered entirely with white floral lace and crystal embellishment. It is almost completely backless with a plunging neckline and hip-high leg slit for added drama.
Sacha revealed in the description for the size 6 ‘white flower long dress’ that the dress was a custom creation for a pageant that she went on to wear for the MAFS UK final vows. Originally purchased for £1,500, she listed the gown for £800 with an additional £10 covering packing and postage.
She listed the condition as ‘very good’ and wrote, “Size 6. Ideal for a prom, pageant or wedding dress as it has a train. Band inside to cinch waist. Custom made paid £1500 for it. Worn for a pageant and on MAFS final vows. P&P £10.”
While Sacha’s dress has now sold, she isn’t the only one turning to the second-hand shopping platform. Fellow bride Polly Sellman has also listed the wedding dress she wore to marry Adam Nightingale after their marriage came to an end at the explosive final dinner party. The ivory gown features a Bardot off-the-shoulder neckline, a corseted bodice and figure-hugging silhouette decorated with lace in a leaf motif with a tulle floaty asymmetric skirt extending into a train.
She wrote in the description for the bridal gown, “Absolutely gorgeous wedding dress. Brand new in store in Jan Justin Alexander 2024 line. US 14 UK 16 but has been altered to size and can be altered again. Can include veil *collection only*.” The Justin Alexander wedding dress is currently listed for £1,130 after she originally posted the dress for £1,800.
Calling all brides wanting to snap up a dress that’s graced the silver screen!
