The Russian ambassador to the UK has warned that following Britain allowing Ukraine to carry out strikes inside Russia World War III is now “imminent.”

Andrey Kelin warned the UK’s support for Ukraine could easily end up in a “collision between nuclear powers” as Moscow has repeatedly warned there will be a serious escalation.

The Russian ambassador warned on Telegram on Saturday, the continued British support for Ukraine will be a “serious escalation.”

Kelin wrote, “We have made multiple warnings that [the use of Western] missiles to strike inside Russia will be a serious escalation. Despite these warnings, the US administration supported by France and the UK has made a deliberate decision to carry out these strikes.

“This seriously escalates the situation and can lead to a collision between the nuclear powers.”

British Army General sends Putin a warning shot that ‘we are ready to fight’

The Kremlin warned this week that they are “entitled” to strike “military targets of those countries that allow their weapons to be used against our facilities,” such as the US, UK and other NATO countries supporting Kyiv.

On Friday the Russian ambassador was asked will the UK be dragged into war with Russia over the use of Storm Shadow missiles being used inside Russia.

Kelin told Sky News Mark Austin, “Absolutely, Britain and UK is now directly involved in this war, because this firing cannot happen without NATO staff, British staff as well.

“The US administration, support[ed] by France and the UK, has made a deliberate decision to make these strikes, which seriously escalates the situation, and it can bring a collision between the nuclear powers.”

Vladimir Putin could launch “both conventional and nuclear warheads” in London as he has “moved into action.”

The deputy chief of the British Defence staff, Lieutenant General Rob Magowan told the House of Commons defence committee, “If the British Army was asked to fight tonight, it would fight tonight.

“I don’t think anybody in this room should be under any illusion that if the Russians invaded Eastern Europe tonight, then we would meet them in that fight.”

Dmitry Kiselyov who is a close ally of Putin warned in September that should Sir Keir Starmer allow the use of the Storm Shadow cruise missiles then the “UK could face a nuclear response.”
