This year’s Cyber Monday saw sales at Not Just Travel rise 45 per cent year-on-year and 60 per cent higher than Black Friday.
As consumers continue to spend more on holidays, the average booking value for a holiday booked on Cyber Monday is also up 11 per cent year-on-year.
Not Just Travel, a Bournemouth-based homeworking travel company, has more than 600 independent consultants across the UK.
Co-founder Steve Witt said: “This year’s Cyber Monday has been phenomenal – even for our high standards.
“The significant increase in average booking value means we are selling more luxurious holidays, plus more higher-end cruises.
“Our home-based consultants are more confident and knowledgeable than ever, have excellent trade relationships, and know where to go to perfectly match clients with suppliers.
“Our direct debit scheme makes holidays more affordable and so consumers are comfortable in pushing themselves just a little bit more to get far better quality and value with their holidays.”
He added: “Most people got out of this year’s autumn budget without any negative impact and so consumer confidence is high.
“2024 has been a record-breaking year for NJT consultants, yet we predict 2025 will blow this year’s sales out of the water.
“The travel industry has fully embraced Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but we expect there to be deals from now and throughout January and February’s peak booking season.
“Consumers should always book sooner rather than later to ensure the best deals and availability.”
Not Just Travel consultant Rachael Coyne said: “In just one weekend I’ve done a £22.7k booking for Japan, a £4.5k Panama Canal cruise, plus a South Africa Safari offer which has converted into three bookings.”
