Budget airline easyJet has announced six new routes that will be departing from four UK airports just in time for summer 2025.
A new A320 aircraft, which will be based at Bristol Airport, will also be part of the upcoming expansion.
The Bristol addition will see the launch of two new routes. One will be to Palermo in Italy on June 24, 2025, and the route to Almeria in Spain will follow two days later.
Other new routes operated by easyJet will include connections to Milan Linate from Manchester and Edinburgh and two new services from Birmingham to Gibraltar and Bordeaux.
Passengers flying from Manchester Airport and Birmingham will see services to the popular Italian city operating up to seven days a week throughout the year.
The airline currently serves 21 UK airports and already offers 585 routes from the UK to over 130 destinations. With the expansion, British travellers will have even more options when planning to visit some of Europe’s best destinations.Â
Flights to Linate from Manchester and Edinburgh will kick off from March 30, 2025. In addition to frequent fights, easyJet will increase the number of services from London Gatwick to Milan from one to two daily departures.Â
Brits flying from Birmingham to Bordeaux can do so from May 1, with twice-weekly departures on Thursdays and Sundays. Flights to Gibraltar will operate year-round starting June 1.
Italy will also benefit from a new three-aircraft base that will open on March 30, 2025. Bases already exist in Milan, Malpensa, and Naples; Brits will have another option when flying to the popular destination.
Tour operator easyJet Holidays has also launched thousands of packages across the new routes to prepare holidaymakers for the upcoming year.
Ali Gayward, easyJet UK County Manager, said: “Following another consecutive record summer, easyJet is continuing to grow in the UK next year with more aircraft, enabling us to offer an even greater choice of flights and package holidays for our customers across the country.
“Our investment into new bases in Italy will also benefit our customers in the UK, providing great value and convenient connectivity to major European cities, whether they’re travelling for leisure or business, and we look forward to welcoming them on board.”
