Two of London’s biggest stations are facing delays this morning after a points failure.
The points failure, between Sutton and West Croydon, means the line towards West Croydon is currently closed.
It’s impacting Southern services between Epsom Downs or Sutton and London Victoria, as well as between Epsom and London Bridge.
There are also delays between Sutton and West Croydon and between Epsom Downs and Selhurst.
National Rail say passengers might have to use an alternative route to reach their destination.
The issue is expected to last until about 8am, well into the morning rush hour.
Meanwhile, on the London Underground, there is once again a part suspension on the Piccadilly line between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge after falling leaves caused ‘difficult track conditions’.
And the District line is seeing severe delays westbound between Upminster and Earl’s Court caused by overrunning engineering works.

Rail replacement buses between St Austell and Newquay after landslip
Emergency repairs are still underway after a landslip on the line to Newquay.
This has been going on since November 29 when Network Rail engineers working on the line discovered that a significant amount of ballast – the stones which hold the tracks in place – near St Blazey, had become displaced.
Rail replacement transport is operating between St Austell and Newquay in both directions – not serving Par station.
If you are travelling to Newquay from Par, you are advised to travel by train to St Austell and connect with the rail replacement transport there.
If you are travelling to Par from Newquay, you are advised to travel to St Austell using the rail replacement transport and change there for a train to Par.
Tickets are also being accepted on Go Cornwall Bus route number 21 between St Austell and Newquay.
