Oxford identified for new ‘fast fashion’ app created by sisters

Must read

Fast fashion is a business model which mass-produces recent catwalk and high-end designs to retailers at a low cost to capitalise on trends.

And sisters Simone and Roxanne Oloman have now launched a fashion app for mobile phones called NIFT (standing for ‘Need It For Tonight’) on the back of the craze.

The app promises to deliver fashion from high end and independent brands directly to your door in as little as 90 minutes.

The sisters believe Oxford and smaller towns can benefit from the new services as much as the big cities such as London and Birmingham.

Simone Oloman, co-founder, said: “The way that we’ve built our infrastructure means that we can pick it up and place it in any other city or town.

“I love the idea of going to places like Oxford and these smaller towns with a beautiful array of boutiques and offering express delivery.”

Commenting on the beginning of the journey, the co-founder added: “Four years ago, my sister called me saying she’d been let down by a late delivery and had a big event on the same day.

“She was panicking, saying ‘I don’t have the time to go into central London – I need to do my hair, my make-up and quite frankly, I don’t want to experience the rush of central’.”
