Both Rangers and Celtic have confirmed their starting XI for the Premier Sports Cup Final Old Firm clash.
The young Ibrox side are heading into the Hampden showpiece on good form having begun to turn a corner under manager Philippe Clement.
But the Belgian is yet to defeat Celtic in five attempts with the pressure mounting on the Rangers manager to get a big result against an on form Celtic team.
Here’s how both Old Firm teams line up ahead of the Premier Sports Cup Final at Hampden.
Rangers starting XI v Celtic (Premier Sports Cup Final)
Rangers have started with ever present goalkeeper Jack Butland between the sticks and the stopper will have to have a big game if the Gers are to retain the League Cup.
Philippe Clement has then chosen to start James Tavernier at right-back, controversially putting Dujon Sterling on the bench.
At centre-back, Scotland international John Souttar has not made the match with Robin Propper partnering Leon Balogun at the heart of the Gers defence at Hampden.
Brazilian left-back Jefte starts at left-back, with the impressive Ridvan Yilmaz dropping to the bench following the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur
In midfield – a crucial area of the Old Firm battle – Rangers have started with a three of Nicolas Raskin, Mohamed Diomande and Ianis Hagi.
Nedim Bajrami then starts out left, with Czech winger Vaclav Cerny starting off the right and Moroccan frontman Hamza Igamane being given the nod up front.
That leaves the likes of Connor Barron, Danilo and Cyriel Dessers on the bench, with all three players likely to come on later in the match.
