The 2024 NFL season continues – and you can follow it every step of the way live on Sky Sports on the road to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

A bumper festive schedule features eight games live on Sky Sports NFL before the end of the year, kicking off on Boxing Day night when the Seattle Seahawks (8-7) visit the Chicago Bears (4-11), with kickoff in the early hours of Friday.

A Saturday triple-header then sees the Los Angeles Chargers (9-6) take on the New England Patriots (3-12) from 6pm, followed by the Denver Broncos (9-6) against the Cincinnati Bengals (7-8) and the Arizona Cardinals (7-8) against the Los Angeles Rams (9-6).

The Philadelphia Eagles (12-3) will look to bounce back from their defeat to the Washington Commanders when they host the Dallas Cowboys (7-8) at 6pm on Sunday, before two NFC Super Bowl contenders collide when the Green Bay Packers (11-4) meet the Minnesota Vikings (13-2), the latter of which still have a shot at the No 1 seed.

The penultimate week of the regular season concludes Monday night as the Detroit Lions (13-2) visit the already-eliminated San Francisco 49ers (6-9).

The Minnesota Vikings defense celebrated Theo Jackson’s game-winning interception against the Seattle Seahawks by imitating the dance from the film ‘Camp Rock’.

NFL 2024 season dates

The 2024 NFL season began on September 5, with reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs beating the Baltimore Ravens in dramatic fashion.

The regular season lasts 18 weeks and ends on January 5 2025.

At the end of the regular season, a total of 14 teams advance to the playoffs, including the teams with the best record in each of the respective four divisions per conference, plus a further three ‘wild card’ teams determined by which teams own the next-best records in each conference.

Three rounds of playoff games – the Wildcard Round (January 11-13), the Divisional Round (January 18-19) and the Conference Championships (January 26) take place before the Super Bowl showpiece.

When is the 2025 Super Bowl?

The 2025 Super Bowl takes place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, live on Sky Sports.

It will mark the 11th time the Super Bowl has taken place in New Orleans, the most recent being in 2013.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar will headline the Super Bowl LIX half-time show.
