England white-ball captain Jos Buttler was named player of the tournament as Deccan Gladiators beat Morrisville Samp Army by eight wickets to win the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
Buttler hit a six to secure the win, and finished with a tournament-leading 22 sixes. He made 242 runs, at an average of 60.50.
“I’ve loved it. It’s been great to be involved,” Buttler told Sky Sports. “We were a team of superstars and played some great cricket.
“It has taken me back to when I first started playing and you can get going from ball one. I’ve really enjoyed playing with lots of freedom.”
Somerset’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore finished as the tournament’s top run-scorer with 278, while Birmingham Bears’ Richard Gleeson was the leading wicket-taker with 14.
Both starred in the final with Gleeson taking 2-16, while Kohler-Cadmore made an unbeaten 56 off 21 balls.
Gladiators have won the tournament three times, and have finished as runners-up twice.
