The Olympics are in full swing, and many of us are tuning in to watch Team GB go for gold in the various sporting events.
But what if you’re out shopping and you miss the home team bagging a gold?
Well, Aldi is reimbursing shoppers £100 if they miss a golden moment because they’re out shopping in one their stores.

Aldi – who is the official supermarket sponsor of Team GB and ParalympicsGB – want to encourage Brits to get behind their team, so if you are perusing the middle aisle while Team GB win a gold, you can claim up to £100 in Aldi vouchers.
Richard Thornton, Communications Director at Aldi UK said: “The wait is over – we finally get to see Team GB in action and we want our shoppers to enjoy the games too.
“If anyone is unfortunate enough to miss a medal because they’re paying for an Aldi shop, we’re going to reimburse them as a small consolation for not getting to witness a magical moment.
“We hope the vouchers will help them buy everything they need to set up an amazing Olympic watch party for the next event, and really revel in the Olympic fever.”
Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?
Well, there is a catch. After all, things could get chaotic if everyone turns up at Aldi during each Team GB event, hoping they win.
If you do miss a golden moment, simply send a picture of your receipt to [email protected] and Aldi will reimburse the value of the shop in Aldi shopping vouchers.
The maximum value is £100 and only the first 10 entrants can qualify.
Of course, the time on the receipt must match the time that Team GB won gold, so you can’t send any old receipt in.

The Olympics only started a few days ago and so far a lot has happened.
On Tuesday, we told you how Tom Pidcock – who claimed Team GB’s second gold medal in mountain biking – was booed when he crossed the finishing line.
Pidcock suffered a puncture on the fourth of eight laps, which saw him falling 40 seconds behind France’s leading cyclist Victor Koretzky.
In the last stretch, Pidcock and Koretzky came close to each other and as the Brit made his move to overtake, it looked as though the wheels on their bikes touched.
The Olympic crowd, many of them French due to the games being in Paris, had been ecstatic at Koretzky taking the lead and some of them booed Pidcock as he sped across the finish line to claim his gold.
