Apple Store Brent Cross shut by police as ‘customers flee shop’

Police tape has currently shut off access to the electronic retailer in Brent Cross Shopping Centre today (January 5).

A video shared just after 2.30pm shows the moment a crowd of males dressed in black stormed into the store, with security trying to intervene.

The footage then shows customers quickly running out due to the incident.

Police are seen at 5pm still inside the store investigating the incident, as customers are not allowed access.

It appears that staff are still attempting to continue serving some customers near to the entrance of the shop.


UPDATE (5.48pm):

Police have since confirmed that six teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after reports of “a large number of mobile phones” stolen.
