We are looking for an imaginative and proven Director to steer the Mercury’s artistic and engagement programmes. As one of the most ambitious producing houses in the East, we pride ourselves on the high-quality, relevant and inclusive nature of all of our work. The Mercury’s artistic programme aims to connect our audiences with a wide range of work across all genres on both our stages in Colchester and on tour in the UK.
As an NPO in the heart of East Anglia, about an hour out of London, we are a significant player in the national theatre ecology, co-producing regularly with peer organisations and commercial producers. Working with colleagues, the Artistic Director will curate a lively and engaging programme of activity for our 530 seat theatre, 98 seat studio and engagement activities.
