We all love a good bargain, and it seems Asda is giving the people what they want as part of the supermarket’s first-ever ‘Rewards Mega Event’ this weekend.
The event, which kicked off on Friday (October 25) and runs until Sunday (October 27), sees the retailer slashing prices for its Rewards customers, with market-beating offers available via coupons in the app.
One of the biggest deals shoppers are rushing to take advantage of sees the brand new game Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (PS4, PS5, XBOX SX) reduced to £40, which is a saving of £16 with the coupon.
Another impressive saving can be made on classic Christmas chocolate tubs, which will be priced at just £2.50 each this weekend, with an offer of 2 for £5 instead of the current 2 for £9 deal the supermarket has been running.
These festive favourites include Quality Street Chocolate Tub (600g), Cadbury Heroes Chocolate Tub (550g), Cadbury Roses Chocolate Tub (550g), Celebrations Milk Chocolate & Biscuit Bars Sharing Tub (550g) and Swizzels Assortment of Family Favourite Sweets (600g).
Ahead of Halloween people will also be able to nab a large carving pumpkin for just £1 with their rewards coupons. Shoppers have been raving about the product online, which usually costs £1.89, with one five-star review claiming: ‘This was huge! Great value for money.’
Other items involved in the mega event include Ariel Pods Platinum Washing Liquid Capsules (44 washes for £5, down from £9.50), and an 8 pack of Kronenbourg for £10 (down from £14 with £4 coupon).
Shoppers have already been going wild over the deals with many saying they would be rushing to nab a ‘bargain’. On the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook page, people said the savings ‘will come in handy to put [things] away for Xmas.’
However, there is one big catch to all this. The rewards coupons are only available for the weekend and have a one-time use. And once the offers are gone, they’re gone, so you’ll want to be quick to take advantage of the savings if there’s something specific you’ve got your eye on.
You can only use the coupons in-store. Those with the Asda Rewards App can find the coupons in the wallet section, showing a saving on each of the products included in the mega sales weekend. These must be accessed within the app and scanned at the till when purchasing.
It’s also worth noting that the deals on alcohol are only available in England. Scotland and Wales are excluded from this offer, as well as the deals on Smirnoff Premium Vodka and Bell’s Original Blended Scotch Whisky.
A closer look at some of the deals for Asda’s Rewards Mega Event:

This sale comes after Asda was recently revealed as the supermarket with the most affordable clothing range. George at Asda came out on top, with a full outfit costing on average £88.
The research by retail experts at Wethrift, examined the top five most popular items across dresses, jumpers, T-shirts, jeans, and coats, as well as the top five most popular accessory items across various categories, including bags, hats, scarves, belts, and shoes, to calculate an overall average.
And there’s some amazing finds to be had at Asda, who recently launched a clothing collaboration with designer brand, Roksanda, a favourite of none other than Kate Middleton. Plus the supermarket has expanded its collaboration with popular sportswear brand Decathlon, adding more than 480 new items online.
