A holidaymaker has revealed how you can experience a luxurious getaway in a beautiful European city without overspending—allowing you to “live like a millionaire”.
A woman recently managed to fly to Geneva, Switzerland, for just £23 and spent less than £50 per night on accommodation, reports Mirror Online.
Despite being one of the most expensive European city breaks, according to Weather 2 Travel, this stunning city filled with breathtaking views and historical treasures can still be enjoyed on a budget.
Instagram user @petite.blondine, who regularly shares her top travel tips, disagrees with the pricey reputation and shared her guide on “how to do a weekend in the most expensive country in the world, on a budget”.
The London-based travel editor said: “A luxury weekend that doesn’t cost luxury money aka what the last few days in Geneva have looked like.”
Emma bagged herself a bargain trip to Geneva for just £23 on a flight from the UK. She discovered an underground spa with entry for less than £32, boasting stunning pools and waterfalls.
The historical hotel she stayed in charged only £47 per person, per night. While exploring Geneva, Emma sipped wine through vineyards and enjoyed a lunch cruise on the Belle Epoque.
Not one to miss out on local delights, Emma grabbed a ‘chocolate pass’ for £25 and indulged in the city’s finest chocolate offerings.
She highlighted that tourists can benefit from free transport around the city. “This is how you do the city of millionaires without having to spend like one,” she added.
