Beautiful UK island looking for people to relocate for job with £70,000 salary

Must read

If you fancy living and working on one of the UK’s most stunning and remote islands rent free and being paid for it, then this could be the perfect job for you and your partner or friend.

Greycoat Lumleys, an international domestic staffing agency that matches people looking for help in their homes with the perfect candidate for the job, has listed the job for a couple on the Isle of Islay in the Scottish Inner Hebrides.

With only 300 permanent residents, this dreamy island is the perfect quiet escape from the hustle and bustle.

Despite being small this island boasts a rich array of wildlife, eight whiskey distilleries and a world class woollen mill.

The job, for two people, consists of a house staff and maintenance role.

With a shared wage of £60,000 to £70,000 duties would be split between that of a housekeeper (laundry, errand running, deep cleaning and managing other staff) and a groundskeeper (gardening, driving guests, maintenance and errand running).

As part of the job you will have your own rental property on the estate with three bedrooms and its own front and rear porch – completely rent free.

You could even have a dog. As well as the house and salary, a car and mobile phone will be provided for work purposes.

The job listing states: “The location has flight, ferry and road links, has a sense of local community and is a wonderful place to live surrounded by stunning scenery.”

Even if it may seem remote, Islay is surprisingly accessible with daily flights from Glasgow.

Alternatively, travellers can take a scenic bus ride through the highlands, from Glasgow to Kennacraig, before catching a ferry to the island.

If this sounds like your dream job you can apply through GreyCoat Lumleys here.
