The “world’s best airline” has been named as part of the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards. The awards judge airlines based on independent and impartial data gathered from customer surveys paid for by Skytrax.
Qatar Airways took the crown for 2024, not only named the best airline globally but also taking home the award for the best business class, the world’s best business class lounge and the best airline in the Middle East.

British travellers who want to experience a flight with Qatar Airways can do so from multiple airports across the UK.
Qatar currently operates from Edinburgh, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham. In Ireland, the airline also serves Dublin Airport.
The airline knocked Singapore Airlines off the top spot, who now sit in second place In the world.
Emirates was ranked the third-best airline in the world. ANA All Nippon Airways fourth and Cathay Pacific completed the top five list.
Though British Airways did not make it into the top five for best airline, they did take home the award for the World’s Most Family Friendly Airline.
