That’s all for tonight…
Yet another truly magnificent Magnificent 7. Pauls’ last-round glory grab will stick long in the memory, but so will Andrew Cain’s fantastic performance also winning the British title. We saw Chantelle Cameron show she is well worthy of another crack at Katie Taylor and a fight of the year contender as Ekow Essuman stopped Owen Cooper in the last round of their exhilarating ten-rounder.
‘I finally got my roses’ – Paul
Pauls wins by knockout in Round 12!
An incredible victory for Pauls. He picked up where he left off and a barrage of swinging lefts and right hands put Heaney down in the neutral corner and on his knees he had nothing left to beat the count. Pauls is the new British champion!
Heaney-Pauls: Round 11
Big round for Pauls! The momentum swings back again. Pauls lands with right hands against Heaney with the champion’s back against the ropes and then another huge right sees Heaney wobbling and very close to being put down.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 10
A tight round, it may be that Heaney just sneaked it. This fight is totally up for grabs.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 9
Heaney had good success with a couple of left hooks to the body and combined them with straight right hands. His first round for a while.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 8
Another Pauls round, Heaney lands some one-twos but Pauls keeps landing big shots and bullying Heaney in close.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 7
Heaney has landed more with his jabs but his left hand cannot keep Pauls off now and he was caught with a number of eye-catching hooks and crosses from the challenger, who probably edges the round.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 6
Heaney cannot keep Pauls off now. His nose is bleeding as Pauls who could hardly land early is now landing power shots at will.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 5
Heaney’s legs are a little shaky, getting caught with a few nasty lefts to the body and another right cross. Heaney fights back near the end of the round, but the fight is back level on the scorecards now.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 4
Heaney goes down! Richie Woodhall called it, Heaney was getting predictable moving to his left after his jab. This jab was slow and he was caught with a peach of a counter right hand which sunk him to the seat of his pants. Heaney took it pretty well.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 3
3-0 to Heaney. Just like in the last fight, Heaney is building an early lead. Pauls has to find a way to land more than single shots, he is being picked off too easily. A couple of good right hands on the bell might give Pauls encouragement.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 2
Heaney is controlling the pace and distance, as TNT Sports expert Richie Woodhall says Pauls needs to be busier with his feet to get in position.
Heaney-Pauls: Round 1
A Heaney right uppercut is the first good punch of the fight and the Stoke man forces his opponent back afterwards. The champion’s round.
Heaney comes to the ring to Delilah
Few better entrances in the game than this.
The Main Event is next…
Heaney-Pauls meet again after their draw last time out.

Cain celebrates with stablemate Nick Ball
Cain stops Lane in Round 5!
Cain could sense he had his opponent on the brink and came straight out dropping his opponent with a left hook, right uppercut. Lane gamely kept coming forward despite being on shaky legs but a counter right hand, left hook body combination put Lane back on the floor and the referee immediately waved the fight off. You don’t get many more impressive performances to win a British title.
Lane-Cain: Round 4
Cain is so precise with his shots, lining up Lane and mixing up his shots, knocking out his gumshield with a long hook. Another left hook wobbles Lane and then a double right hook in close also hurts his opponent near the bell. This doesn’t look like it will go on much longer.
Lane-Cain: Round 3
Lane has some more success in close landing some good left hooks to the body, but it just leaves him more open to counters and you can see a little damage to him over the eye now.
Lane-Cain: Round 2
Cain is having his way in there at present, avoiding and blocking shots and then landing jabs, straight rights and uppercuts. He adds a left jab after a clinch just before the bell.
Lane-Cain: Round 1
Lane is looking to force the fight but it is Cain who looks the more dangerous catching his opponent as he comes in.
Lane-Cain up next…
The British and Commonwealth bantamweight titles are on the line.
Cameron doesn’t need to say who she wants next…
Spoiler alert: It’s Katie Taylor (for a third time)
Cameron wins a majority decision!
One judge gave the fight a draw shockingly. On the other cards Cameron got the bout 98-92 and 99-92. Cameron is the WBC interim super-lightweight champion.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 10
The fighters gave it everything to the last with both exchanging shots on the final bell. Cameron will take the fight by a wide margin, but Mekhaled comes out of the bout with credit and can be a force at the lower weight class.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 9
She is almost there Cameron. Still boxing well at range. Mekhaled got through a few times, but not enough to threaten to take the round.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 8
Cameron is maintaining her discipline well, with Mekhaled waiting for an opening, but being given little to hit in these last few rounds.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 7
Mekhaled is so game. It is hard ot give her a round but he keeps powering forward and prepared to take shots to land her own.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 6
A familiar pattern with Cameron controlling most of the round but Mekhaled coming back into it in the closing stages.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 5
A quieter round with Cameron winning with her boxing skills.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 4
A fantastic round. Cameron landed a fantastic uppercut then straight right which had her opponent wobbling backwards. But Mekhaled showed her heart in the closing stages and landed repeated hooks with both hands in the closing thirty seconds.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 3
Cameron playing the role of matador for the first two-thirds of the round and despite Mekhaled’s pressure she still lands the more potent blows.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 2
Cameron mixing up shots to head and body, dominating most of the round, but Mekhaled stood her ground increasingly as the round went on matching punch-for-punch on the bell.
Cameron-Mekhaled: Round 1
Cameron is intent on putting on a show. Throwing with intent from the first bell and chasing Mekhaled around the ring, after a left hook rocked her opponent.
Cameron-Mekhaled is next…
The interim WBC super-lightweight title is on the line.
Dacres Stops Webster in Round 7
Dacres lands a right cross-left hook-right cross combination which has Webster reeling and ultimately down to the canvas in the neutral corner. He gets up but the referee waves off the contest.
Dacres-Webster: Round 6
A slower round, but Dacres let his hands go in the final minute, landing a couple of good overhand rights and a left hook.
Dacres-Webster: Round 5
Dacres wakes up! Dacres with a good right hand with a minute remaining. The referee warns him for pushing off with a forearm, but Dacres raced straight at Webster then who took a knee – and only just rose at the count of ten.
Dacres-Webster: Round 4
Dacres shows a little near the end of the round but he probably was still edged.
Dacres-Webster: Round 3
Everyone at ringside is waiting for this fight to explode. Maybe it won’t. Webster edging in front.
Watch Highlights of the Fight of the Year contender…
Dacres-Webster: Round 2
Webster maybe produced a little more in this round, but his corner are imploring him to do more. It is likely Dacres is hearing similar in his corner.
Dacres-Webster: Round 1
A very slow opener with neither fighter producing anything of note.
English Heavyweight title fight is next
And it is a rematch between Solomon Dacres (8-0, 2 KOs) and Michael Webster. In Dacres’ last fight he beat Webster (10-1, 6 KOs) via a majority decision.
Taylor wins undisputed points decision!
Taylor is given the fight 97-93 and 99-91 (twice). He is the new WBC International Light-Heavyweight champion.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 10
Lamela with nice uppercuts in close, but Taylor replies with a good straight right, right uppercut combination. After flashy Taylor combinations the fight ends with Lamela landing shots in Taylor’s corner. It could end up being Taylor’s fight by a wide margin but Lamela has been in every round in the second half of the fight.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 9
Both fighters look to have the finish of the fight in mind. Each going through the motions a little, unconvinced they can stop the other.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 8
Lamela’s appetite for the contest seems to be dwindling at times, as he walks away, but part of it seems to be playing possum as he invariably returns with forward flurries. Taylor still producing more.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 7
Taylor has settled down boxing behind the jab and once more he moved southpaw, which I think we can take as a danger sign. Taylor rocked his head back with a left hook, right uppercut combination in the closing stages.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 6
Taylor is slowing up, but is still outboxing his opponent. He is maybe fortunate Lamela does not have the class you expect of a Cuba-born fighter.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 5
Taylor’s quietest round. He has attacked pretty ferociously and maybe taking a rest. Lamela at one point landing a couple of shots against the ropes.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 4
Lamel nodded his head after a Taylor right hand early and turned southpaw briefly to try to stop the Brit’s attack, with limited effect. Maybe a sign his energy tank is draining.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 3
A gorgeous combination from Taylor early, after a straight right saw Lamela rock back on the ropes. The Cuban took the shots well though and does not show signs of being stopped soon.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 2
He is nothing if not game the Spain-based Lamela. He took a number of uppercuts and right hands and is still looking to come forward and land. He seems to be getting used to Taylor’s power. That said, Taylor is still dominating, but could maybe be a little less wild with his right hand.
Taylor-Lamela: Round 1
There is a class difference between the two. Taylor is punching with bad intentions and even jabs have Lamela feeling the effect. Lamela was bravely coming forward, but as he did with 30 seconds remaining he was caught with a counter left hook which had the Cuban reeling.
Taylor-Lamela next…
On paper this might be the most exciting contest – it has some living up to do after Essuman-Cooper…
A fight of the year contender!
Cooper is receiving oxygen but it back on his stool now. Both of these fighters deserve so much credit. Incredibly Cooper was ahead on all three scorecards so Essuman needed a knockout and that is exactly what he got.
Essuman stops Cooper in Round 10!
Straight away a left hook has Cooper reeling and then an incredible salvo of shots traps Cooper in the corner and he falls to the canvas, with the referee waving the contest off.
Cooper stops Essuman: Round 9
Essuman goes down from a huge right hand! The Ghana-born fighter was dominating the round, landing early telling blow and then boxing on his toes before Cooper produced an incredible shot which looked like it would knock out his opponent. Essuman got up and survived until the bell.
Cooper-Essuman: Round 8
You have to admire Cooper’s spirit, he is right back in the contest, but again Essuman’s punches are having a little more effect.
Cooper-Essuman: Round 7
Cooper is bravely fighting back but too often is trapped with his back on the ropes and eating shots. Cooper had some joy in the last minute, but the round ended with him taking another big right hand on the bell.
Cooper-Essuman: Round 6
Huge round for Essuman! Cooper so close to being stopped. The English fighter was busier early, but a big right hand turned the fight around and Essuman proceeded to land blow after blow with his opponent against the ropes. After they were separated Essuman landed an uppercut in the neutral corner which saw Cooper drop to the floor shaking his head and he was very fortunate to hear the bell when the two met once more.
Cooper-Essuman: Round 5
A similar pattern to the fourth, with Essuman having the best of it early, digging in body shots with Cooper trapped in a neutral corner, but right hands over the top seemed to make Essuman wilt a little in the last two minutes.
Cooper-Essuman: Round 4
Essuman had the better of the first half of the round but Cooper landed plenty of one-twos as it drew to a close and levels the scores.
Cooper-Essuman: Round 3
A better round from Cooper with Essuman maybe taking a little breather.
Cooper-Essuman: Round 2
The away fighter landing with cleaner right hands over the top and trapping Cooper against the ropes, he goes two in front.
Cooper-Essuman: Round 1
Essuman the more offensive of the two and takes the opener.
Cooper-Essuman next…
The action doesn’t halt for long on these Magnificent 7 night and next we have a contest for the WBO European Welterweight title.
Parker stops Arnfield in Round 4!
It took a while but we saw the old Zach Parker in the fourth round hurting Arnfield with a big right hand and then putting him down with another, then forcing the referee to jump in afterwards.
Parker-Arnfield: Round 3
Parker a little less aggressive than we’re used to, maybe unsurprisingly after being knocked down last time out, but again he might just take the round.
Parker-Arnfield: Round 2
Again not too much going on, but Parker with the slightly better work to edge in front.
Parker-Arnfield: Round 1
Not much action to speak of. Parker pressing the action slightly more but an even round.
Up first: Parker vs Arnfield
An eagerly-awaited domestic light-heavyweight contest.
