Trina McGee, one of the stars of the 1990s sitcom Boy Meets World, revealed she was pregnant on Monday — at the age of 54.
The actress shared her happy news on Instagram, before announcing that she was ‘Gonna sign off social media for a bit.’
‘At the tender age of 54 I have found myself pregnant,’ she said in a short video soundtracked with The Supremes’ classic Baby Love. ‘Please bless us with your prayers for a safe delivery. Thank you.’
She added in her caption: ‘Thanks for your prayers and well wishes in advance.’
McGee — who got an apology from her costar Danielle Fishelle in recent years for her ‘cold’ behavior — is best known for her role of Angela Moore on Boy Meets World, which she joined in 1997 and appeared on through its seventh and final season in 2000.

Trina’s fans shared their ebullient congratulations in the comments to her post, and many highlighted her age.
’54?!?! Years old?!?! I mean yeah congratulations on the baby but how are you 54?!’ joked one fan, seemingly referencing her age-defying appearance.
‘Yeah, but in Trina McGee years you’re still only in your thirties,’ wrote another fan.
‘Sarah didn’t have Isaac until she was 89,’ added on commenter.
Trina already has three children, two of whom she shares with her ex-husband Randall Courtland Davis, whom she was married to from 1991–2001, and one from a previous relationship.
The actress appeared to have shared her baby news while on a carefree vacation in Belize, as she has been sharing photos from a trip to the Central American nation’s Malacate Beach.
After she announced her pregnancy, some of Trina’s fans returned to her most recent post, a photo of herself holding a coconut cake while wearing a blue tie-dye cropped halter top while wearing a white skirt and a straw hat.
‘the bump!’ commented one fan who realized she was already showing in the photo.

Trina rose to prominence with her Boy Meets World role, and her on-screen interracial romance with her costar Strong was a rarity for a major network sitcom at the time
‘Welp, this explains the pregnancy,’ another user commented.
Trina’s fourth child will also be here first with her husband Marcello Thedford.
In April, Trina revealed that she had been six-months pregnant with her third child during part of her tenure on Boy Meets World.
The show featured her biggest role to date, and her on-screen interracial romance with her costar Rider Strong (who played Shawn Hunter) was a rarity for a major network sitcom at the time.
But Trina revealed in 2020 that she had been subjected to racist insults during her time on the series.
In January of that year, she said she had been called an ‘aunt Jemima’ while getting her hair and makeup done on set, as well as being labeled a ‘bitter b****’ during rehearsals.
In April of 2020 she revealed that it had been her costar Will Friedle who made the former insult, but she said he had apologized to her first 22 years earlier, and she added that he wrote her a second three-page apology later after she complained about her treatment.
