The former Conservative Home Secretary has warned that the Tories are facing an “existential threat” from Nigel Farage and others.

Suella Braverman told GB News that she has “looked” into Reform UK’s manifesto and she was asked if she would join Farage’s party.

Reform UK are actually aligned to Braverman’s thoughts, such as taxes and immigration policies, but she refused to be drawn into answering if she would join the party.

The former Conservative Home Secretary told GB News, “I have looked at the Reform Party.

“I have been listening to what they’re saying. I have met many, many Reform voters throughout this campaign.

“People who are lifelong Conservatives. I’ve listened to them and they say, ‘I’ve backed your party for ages, and we are furious with your party and we are going to Reform.’

“I have listened to them. Attacking them as racists or thugs is not the right attitude. Demeaning them is not the right attitude.

“We need to be humble in the face of very strong feedback from our core voters at this election.”

Speaking of Reform UK’s performance during the general election, Braverman said, “Millions of our voters were betrayed and angry with the Conservatives and they went to an alternative.

“I believe whoever’s leading the party, whoever’s in the party needs to acknowledge this basic truth, that we are facing an existential threat from Reform and we need to change ourselves to ensure that we neutralise that threat, that we bring those people back home.”
