PBM Ducati rider Glenn Irwin will take part in Sunday’s British Superbike feature race at Brands Hatch despite suffering muscle spasms following an earlier crash.
The 34-year-old was involved in a turn one collision with Danny Kent and Danny Buchan in the sprint race.
The Northern Irish rider was later seen being stretchered into an ambulance at the Kent course, but an update issued by competition organisers confirmed he had suffered no fractures and would be on the starting grid for the concluding race of the weekend.
The sprint race, reduced to five laps after a pair of red flags, was won by Jason Vickers with Tommy Bridewell in second and Kyle Ryde third.
Irwin went into the race tied with Bridewell at the top of the championship standings on 189 points with last year’s champion now holding a 16-point lead over his former team-mate.
Andrew Irwin followed up his Saturday podium by finishing in fourth and sits ninth in the championship standings.
