Burberry’s Winter 24 campaign has been released with the imagery continuing the brand’s focus on British (and Irish) style.

The portraits were shot in the Lake District, “inspired by the landscapes and people of the UK and Ireland,” we’re told.

“We were inspired by the characters who wear Burberry, and the outdoors and landscapes that are part of the brand’s heritage. The Lake District feels familiar, and it has a sense of adventure,” chief creative officer Daniel Lee said.

The cast includes an interesting mix of big names representing both British style and the markets that Burberry is targeting. In the mix are Agyness Deyn, Adwoa Aboah, Amin Lawal, Babacar Ndoye, Benjamin Moss, George Osborne, Henry Kitcher, Jack Cooper, Jemima Le Sueur, Jude Furnivall, Lauren Theobald, Lila Moss, Lily Donaldson, Lina Zhang, Long Li, Maya Wigram, Nora Attal, and Tiana Mohammed.

The images were shot by Tyrone Lebon while Arthur Williams shot the film.

As for the collection itself, the company said that “grounded in functionality, Burberry uses craft and technique from Donegal to Lochcarron, inspiring fabric, construction and detailing”.

That means the brand’s key trench coats appear in moleskin, wool and leather, while field jackets are multi-layered, and duffle coats are lined with shearling for “a sense of warmth and protection”.

The collection also focuses on kilts made from Burberry Check wool while tailoring is “inspired by Savile Row” with double-breasted suits that “are soft and relaxed”. And cowl-neck sweaters come in lightweight gauze wool.

Meanwhile, bags are softly structured. The Tent is inspired by the Equestrian Knight Design and the Rocking Horse and Knight bags return. Shoes “are rooted in the outdoors” with the Stomp boot featuring a shower-proof rubber sole, while the Saddle – first shown in Winter 2023 – is updated in soft calf leather, featuring equestrian details.

Colours are “earthy: deep browns and greens, classic beiges and custard cream shades”.
