Christmas has come early for Cadbury fans, as the chocolate giant has just opened its biggest shop in the UK.
Bournville Cadbury World in Birmingham is set to re-open from November 21 after undergoing a re-fresh, and the on-site shop will now stock more products than any other Cadbury location around the country.
There will be an estimated 250 product lines and 50 special edition Christmas items – meaning you’ll be able to find rare and exclusive chocolate goodies.
What’s more, you can also nab a freebie if you’re quick, as the first 200 shoppers to visit will receive a complimentary 180g bar of Cadbury’s ‘most iconic chocolate’ – the Dairy Milk bar.Â
What can you buy at the UK’s biggest Cadbury shop?
Inside you’ll find all the ‘classic confections’, including Cadbury Dairy Milk, Crunchie, Flake, and Marvellous Creations, as well as brands like Toblerone. Â
Guests can also find ‘exclusive’ handmade products – from Christmas-themed items to chocolate teapots – all made on-site and decorated by top Cadbury World chocolatiers.
The store manager, Barrie Oldridge, who has worked at Cadbury World Shop for almost 30 years, has shared some of his favourite items that it’s worth keeping an eye out for.
He said: ‘The time working at the Cadbury World shop has flown by, and it certainly doesn’t feel like almost 30 years – more like 10. My favourite thing about the job is meeting all the visitors who share a love of chocolate with me, whether they travel from down the road or different corners of the world.
‘Visitors often ask what my favourite products are, which having tried them all, is a big question. My top picks would have to be Picnic and Starbar, however, the new product launches every year mean the top spot is always highly disputed.Â
‘The Cadbury World chocolatiers’ personalised products are also spectacular. Cadbury World is always full of fun but particularly at this time of year it really feels extra magical.
‘I can’t wait to see our guests enjoy the attraction and experience our brand-new shop.’
This comes after Lindt announced it would open a ‘chocolate heaven’ megastore in the West End last month, which is anticipated to be the ultimate immersive experience.Â
The chocolate is largely sold at supermarkets with pick-n-mix concessions in some Sainsbury’s stores, but the new location could rival the likes of M&M World.Â
The details of the ‘unique’ store are being kept tightly under wraps but it’s likely to be impressive as their Zurich HQ, which boasts multiple interactive activities, including a chocolate museum and a ginormous chocolate fountain.Â
