Europe’s top MMA organisation Cage Warriors is making the trip over the Atlantic Ocean once again as it returns to San Diego for Cage Warriors 173. This Friday will see Wilson Reis in the main event once again when he takes on Bruno Souza.
In the main event, Wilson Reis will look to increase his winning streak to 2 victories when he takes on Bruno Souza at Cage Warriors 173. Wilson Reis was able to get the victory last February due to an arm triangle choke in the first round. Bruno Souza is making his Cage Warriors debut after a mixed stint in Karate Combat with a victory against Teruto Ishihara in Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat in between. These two will look to battle it out on Friday evening looking to put on a show for the San Diego crowd.
The co-main event will see Roberto Hernandez look for redemption. This was after his bantamweight title shot ended due to a rear naked choke defeat in the 5th round. Roberto Hernandez will be moving back up to featherweight when he takes on Javier Garcia. This will be in the co-main event of Cage Warriors 173. Roberto Hernandez has moved back up to featherweight looking to try and find more stoppage victories and put on a show for the Cage Warriors crowd. Javier Garcia is a fighter who is looking to get the fight to the ground and try and find the submission victory. These two will look to get the crowd going and give the crowd something to cheer for before the main event.
Also on the card this Friday we will see exciting prospects take to the cage to try and improve their stock. These prospects include Damon Wilson, Magomed Bayduev and many other fighters on the card.
