Calling certain number can make Disneyland Paris trips much cheaper

Must read

Disneyland Paris is a dream for children and parents alike. But if there’s one thing that’s not dreamy, it’s how much trips to the theme park impact our bank balances.

Thankfully, there are ways to cut back on the cost of visiting one of the most magical places in the world. And a Disney insider has shared just how to do it.

In a helpful TikTok video, Edith Gervin shared her top pieces of advice. She said: “So I’ve been a Disneyland Pairs regular for over 20 years and I’ve learned a thing or two that can make your trips a bit easier.”

Edith tips include ways to save time and money on groceries, luggage and queuing. And she even shared a phone number you can call to claw back hundreds of pounds in cash. So here’s all you need to know…

1. Order groceries to your hotel

First, Edith recommended that Disneyland Paris guests get food delivered to their accommodation instead of going to and from the shops. Not only does it save you time, it could also be more cost effective than travelling in and out to the supermarket.

She explained: “Instead of trekking out to Val D’Europe on the train, you can order your shopping directly to your hotel using Uber Eats or other apps. A lot of DLP guests order from the local Carrefour – and it works much cheaper than buying toiletries or snacks on site.”

2. Check if you’re owed a refund

If you booked a trip to Disney during peak times, you may have ended up forking out more for your visit than you would on a typical day. Thankfully though, there may be a way to get hundreds back.

Edith explained: “This one has been happening a lot recently due to an unexpected dip in bookings over the Olympics.

“If you’ve already booked and paid for your trip through Disney, but noticed that the same room is now cheaper, give them a call and see what they can do for you.

“Of course, you can always cancel and rebook but a lot guests recently have been getting hundreds – if not thousands – of Euros refunded directly back to them just from one phone call. So it’s always worth asking.”

3. Leave bags with the concierge

If you want to make the most out of your holiday, don’t sit around in your hotel for hours waiting for your flight, train or other transport home.

Those who have some time to spare may want to consider returning to the park for a short while – you can simply leave your luggage in a safe space nearby.

Edith advised: “If you plan to visit the parks on checkout day and are planning to use Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station train station to get home or to the airport, then I’d recommend paying to store your bags at the concierge right beside the park entrance.”

4. Use Premier Access smartly

Disney Premier Access is a service offered by Disney Parks that allows guests to pay for expedited access to popular attractions, reducing their wait time.

It can mean you get to enjoy more rides in a single day, so could end up saving you cash if you do this instead of breaking it up across multiple days.

However, Edith says to be careful when using the service as they’re “not all equal”. Some rides don’t let you skip the entire queue, just the start.

It may not be worth using it on attractions such as Tower of Terror, Small World and Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast, where you’re likely to still have to queue for around 20 minutes.

Edith’s video has garnered more than 8,300 likes since it was uploaded – and many are grateful for the advice. In particular, the phone call tip seemed to prove very helpful.

One commenter gushed: “We had booked Sequoia Lodge a few months ago then we went to pay off the rest and found out Newport was cheaper- RESULT!”

Another said: “We saved over $150 for our stay by calling and getting the new reduced rate.” And a third added: “Well you just saved me £132 by checking prices and I managed to move hotels with all my extras and save money! Legend!!”
