Albion go into Sunday’s game with 11th-placed Bristol City sitting eighth in the Championship, having won just three times in 15 games – although 10 of those games have been drawn.
“I can only tell you that my full focus is to prepare the next game,” Corberan added.
“I don’t like that our fans or anyone else at this club can feel any type of disrespect with all of these rumours that can appear.
“I am clear on this, so I am going to speak about Bristol, about what we are going to do in the club, that I can control.
“Because there are things I cannot control and I cannot talk about things I cannot control.”
Corberan’s Baggies lost to Martin’s Saints over two legs in last season’s Championship play-off semi-finals.
Southampton, beaten in the Carabao Cup by holders Liverpool on Wednesday night, do not expect to have anyone in place before Sunday’s trip to Fulham.
