According to Synergy Immigration Solutions, higher quality of life elsewhere which includes lower costs of living and easier access to education and healthcare are some of the main reasons many Brits are leaving the UK.
A better climate and dissatisfaction with the UK government’s actions were other viable reasons for mass departure.
Around 471,000 Brits emigrated to other countries in 2022 with these figures rising to 508,000 last year.
When looking at the most wallet-friendly countries in Europe, Hungary was named the cheapest for British expats to move to with a cost of living index of only 28.2 on a scale of 100.
It is described as Europe’s underrated star and considered a relatively affordable place to live.
According to the cost of renting of a city-centre flat, a whopping 68.2 per cent savings is had compared to renting in a place in Berlin.
Moreover, the cheaper rentals combined with a lucrative EU salary could see you smiling all the way to the bank.
Figures show eating out in Hungary averages around £7.50 (€9) with the price of a coffee at around £1.60 (€2).
Other figures find the cost of living in Hungary is 34 percent lower than in the UK with rent being on average 62.1 percent lower than in the UK, according to Numbeo.
Proving it is a destination with great value for people who are wanting a good life for less in central Europe.
Hungary is also a peaceful country with its capital, Budapest, being one of the safest cities in Europe.
