PFL boss Donn Davis has offered Dana White the opportunity for a cross promotion fight.
Davis believes that his fighters will easily beat those of his rivals.
Dana White on the other hand is yet to respond to the challenge.
Could UFC vs PFL happen?
Donn Davis has been at the centre of PFL for some time now. He has thrown many challenges over to his competitors in a bid to establish dominance. Whilst sometimes he manages to get a response from Dana, other times White has even responded.
On his official X (formerly Twitter) account Davis tweeted; “It is clear from UFC 306 that @PFLMAA would crush UFC. I am so confident winner takes all. PFL: Cyborg + Pacheco, UFC: Harrison + Pena. $2 million to each fighter… Losing Company pays $8 million total fighter purses.”
Whilst there hasn’t been an official response from White or the UFC, it seems unlikely that this will ever happen. Dana White notoriously dismissed the idea stating that the UFC has the best fighters and if fighters are good enough the promotion signs them.
That hasn’t put Donn Davis off though with the PFL CEO tweeting again today stating the female ranking according to ESPN. The broadcast company has placed Cyborg at fourth, Harrison at fifth, Pacheco at sixth and Pena at seventh in the world.
With women’s MMA reaching new heights year after year it could entice the UFC into a cross-promotion event. It does seem unlikely due to the White’s previous comments.
Donn Davis vs Dana White
Whilst the pair have successfully ensured the success of their promotion, it seems to be that PFL are competing to become better than the UFC. Whilst PFL have been tremendously successful lately they have a huge job to overhaul the UFC.
UFC is the pinnacle for most MMA fighters with many fighters dreaming of fighting in the organisation. With Davis looking to change that with the signing of Francis Ngannou it could change MMA fan’s views.
