DOZENS of jobs have been axed at a Scottish HGV firm after the company fell into administration.
Nearly 40 people have been made redundant at Glasgow-based Ritchies HGV Training Centre Ltd.

The company, which was founded in 1983, specialises in training for HGV drivers and plant and forklift drivers.
Located in the city’s Springburn, the firm serve private clients, district councils and utility companies.
After 40 years in business, administrators were appointed to the training centre as of Tuesday, May 28, the Glasgow Times reported.
Michelle Elliot and Callum Carmichael of business advisory firm FRP have been appointed as joint administrators.
The company was no longer able to meet its financial obligations due to the ongoing downturn of the construction sector.
A total of 36 people have been made redundant.
Administrators will now explore the potential sale of the business and assets – which includes vehicles, plant machinery and the site itself.
Joint Administrator and partner at FRP, Michelle Elliot, told the Glasgow Times: “Ritchies HGV Training Centre Limited was founded more than 40 years ago after the owner decided to use his own driving experience to train others.
“Unfortunately, due to the ongoing downturn of the construction sector and struggling to recover post-pandemic, the Company was no longer able to meet its financial obligations.
“After the directors exhausted all other options, they took the difficult decision to put the company into administration.
“We’re now focused on helping impacted staff access support from the Redundancy Payments Service and are working with support agencies such as PACE while we market the assets of the business for sale.”
